NCTS Race #04 – Schuetzen NEIN! Hour Endurance Run

Heat, stairs, hills and pain were the name of the game at this past weekend’s Schuetzen NEIN Hour Endurance Run in Davenport! Race #04 in the series challenged runners to either run solo or as a relay team for nine hours for as many miles as possible in that time and the NEIN did not make it easy!

Congratulation to all the “survivors” and special kudos to No Coast runners Brian Carter, Nathen Cox, Andrew Gray, Bryan Powers, Michael Price, Jesse Reinhardt, Adam Roll, Jodee Ross, Morgan Russell, Ross Salinas, Travis Swanson & Eil Tan for digging deep and hitting 50k or more within the nine hours to earn themselves a Schuetzen Spanker. A number of No Coast runners participated on Relay teams and earned a team Spanker for running 50 miles or more!
Team ‘Endurance Tribe’ – Brandon Bartz, Bren Raschke & Clark Purnell
Team GoodVibez Sister Wivez – Michele Thompson, Danielle Wangsness & Jen Even

No Coast runner Morgan Russell also captured the female Solo win with 35.7 miles and team ‘Endurance Tribe’ took the relay win and set a new relay course record of 66.3 miles! Great job everyone!

On the Club side, the QC-TUR(d)s have jumped through the ranks to take the lead with 218.5 points! The LoKeyz are in 2nd place with 196.3 points and Thorsday TC are in 3rd place with 146.0 points!

You or someone you know running No Coast races and aren’t signed up for the series yet?! Sign up! It’s free, takes all of 10 seconds and will put you (and your running club) in the chase for some sweet division awards! Plus your participation supports an incredible community of trail races in this great state of Iowa!

We have a bit of a summer break in No Coast racing through July and then race #05 is scheduled to take place at the Mines of Spain Trail Races on August 14th in Dubuque!
