The Booneville Backroads Ultra went down outside Des Moines this past holiday weekend and boosted No Coast runners point totals for all of those participating in the 10k, 50k, 100k and 100 mile races! An afternoon thunderstorm made for some tough and muddy stretches on the backroads for the ultra runners but runners persevered and got it done!

Congratulations to all the No Coast runners and especially to everyone taking on a new challenge and running their first ultra marathon or longest distance race ever!

Rain, wind and unseasonably cold temps greeted No Coast runners at this year’s Sunderbruch B&B Trail Races but the weather was no match for trail runners looking to have a good time running in nature and smashing some bacon & beer! With a plan B course in place, runners charged into the unknown and in the process, racked up some more points in the 2017 No Coast Trail Series!

Congratulations to No Coast runners Devin Allbaugh, Phil Young and Ross Salinas for sweeping the 10k podium in that order, Kelsey Allbaugh for 1st female 10k and Jason Willits & Adam Page for taking 1st/2nd respectively in the 5k! Them along with many other amazing trail runners certainly earned their B&B at Saturday’s race!

Next up in the series is the Booneville Backroads Ultra this weekend outside of Des Moines! With distances ranging from 10k to 100 miles, Booneville will be sure to shake up the point standings as we near the halfway point of the series!
